Apple also announced that in just three days after the launch, they have been successful in selling more than 13 million units of the new models, setting a new record in the process.

Admitting the same, Apple's CEO Tim Cook said, "Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple's history"

The new iPhones will be available in silver, gold, space grey and the latest rose gold metallic finishes.

Some of the features of the new models include 3D touch, Live Photos, 12-megapixel iSight camera and are powered by the Apple-designed A9 chip.
